Time out

Seems  it has been such a long time since i have  been on my own blog and posted anything.This week has been really busy what with work and other things.I have been able to indulge a litte to relax, with a little crochet.So I have been trying out patterns from Jan Eaton 200 crochet blocks.I really like this book.this was my first crochet book I brought.So will try out some others another time, in the mean time still working on my green squares when I can.I love mostly to create without patterns, but  a nice easy to understand pattern is fine too, and its got to be easy x

So, sew!

Well I told you all last time there would be some sewing coming.Well this week I been busy with a few projects.These days my sewing machine only gets used for mending at thats it.When I was younger I loved creating things even when they did not turn out quite right, but its all about getting the creative juices going not about perfection.I also sketch and i work the same way, just getting stuck in.So in my garden I have my bench what me and hubby brought, it,s been crying out for cushions for so long.We either borrow the inside ones, then they get left out, equals spiders or wet cushions when it rains.So made these....
 

Just some simple envelope cushions with a shiny side in case it rains and a nice fabric  side to sit on.They were quick to do and if i had known they would take me under a hour i would not have procrastinated for so long.I now have caught the sewing bug, hope you all catch it, ha ha!

A little ripple

My finished ripple blanket. Inspiration from Lucy at attic 24 and pattern. I really enjoyed making this blanket. It was such fun and easy to do once I got in to it. Hope you like it ♡

Bag love x

Loving making bags so much at the moment. Here is an another onebi have made. I have made it reversable, with a patchwork lining. l like both sides of the bag equally.

African flower bag

This is my latest creation.I  first saw  this bag on  the internet and fell in love with it. Could I find a pattern for this bag? I looked everywhere on the net me a while then voila! I came across a wonderfull tutorial, from a swedish lady blog called"Alla dager som gick" Choosing the colours was the most fun, I used what fabric I had hanging around to line it. I  then made the cord for the drawstring, sewed a cute cerise love heart button on the straps. I really  love this bag, hope to make another one soon x.

So this what my little squares of cuteness have turned in to. A  hot water bottle cover! I am really pleased how it turned out. It was really easy and fun to make. I love the buttons that i have used. In fact there is a love story regarding where I got my buttons from. I moved house about a year ago, when were cleaning I found a vintage cake tin  that had been left behind in the move.The tin it is full to the top with gourgeous vintage buttons.So what do you think of my water bottle cover? I hope you like it x

I am making Little squares. I  like a small project that is easy and takes hardly any concentration. So what to make with these little gems...um. You will have to wait and see!
