Super spring day

What a beautiful hot Saturday its been today unfortunately I had to work today. The rest of us got to stay at home (hubby and daughter) So I came in from work and tried to make a crafty bacon sandwich. My hubby was upstairs putting down some laminate flooring and my girl was outside playing. No sooner had I made it there doggy noses caught  a whiff  so they put in there requests for not only bacon but eggs on a sandwich they did enjoy them. Kept them quiet any way.
Any way a while back I told you all I had a little news, something I have been dying to tell you all. Well my news is.......I am pregnant.
It been hard news to contain but news I felt was best told when was sure all was well. This was not the case back in June 2013 when I had lost my second child at 8 weeks unknowingly. It was not until my 12 week scan I realised this had happened. What followed after the news nearly claimed my life. I had a life threatening miscarriage and nearly died. Several months elapsed and me and my hubby decided to try a again for our third child. All my scans have been ok. I now feel  I can relax and enjoy being pregnant and am looking forward to my maternity leave.
So I will be making some little bits and bobs for baby. I am not sure what I am having yet so made an attempt at these little green booties.
I want to crochet some cute bibs next  and what ever else we shall see!
Hope you all have a good weekend and bank holiday. Right I am off to soak up the last of the sunshine in the garden and relax with a ice lolly, usually would have been a vodka and orange. Not any more!!
Next time I will show you my garden and what cool stuff I have been up to xxx

Easy Easter

Hi there, hope your enjoying your Easter weekend . I cannot believe how quick the months are flying by, and we have nearly done with April. It was my birthday on the 15th.What a lovely day I had. My hubby and daughter took me for a lovely picnic to celebrate. I really enjoyed my self, but not the getting older part of course!
In fact we all have had a lovely week Me and my hubby have booked some time off from our jobs so we could all be off with our daughter what with the school holidays.
The weather has been quite pleasant so we have been on walks to parks to woods and lastly to the beach .We have hung out in the garden, watched films and pretty much any thing we want. It,s been lovely having no time constraints. Time for a spot of baking...... a little crochet too.

I  learned a new stitch I have been wanting to have a go at loop stich for a while, thought it looked hard but is quite easy to do.
Any way hope you all have a nice time getting together with family. Not too many easter eggs mind!!!

Hi!

Im back, just.I have been super busy as usual. I have been doing a little crafting mainly in the evenings when we are all  watching the TV.A while ago I showed you a green blanket I have had like forever, well I told you I had plans to do an edging all around well.... here it is all finished!! I completed it weeks ago, really enjoyed working on it , giving it a new lease  of life.
I have also wanted to get into my garden and start to get my veg patch ready ready for  the new planting year, but here in England we have had some bad weather. We have had the highest record of rainfall recorded, not quite gardening weather at all.
My hubby had brought me the most loveliest mini greenhouse ever, so been eagar to get it used and get lots of cuttings and seeds growing.

So now the extreme rainfall is done my gardening is thwarted by fog.Not just any fog the kind I have never seen  before. First i thought it was normal fog.So your thinking why would fog stop you from gardening? This one was caused by  sand from Sahara desert and pollution from Europe apparantly on the news it warned people with breathing problems not to go out im it.Im mild Asthmatic and the day before was out and about in this fog not knowing the warning issued.Later that day my throat was scratchy, and in the night and all the next day I sneezed continuously till my ribs were sore.I became tight chested and needed my inhaler.

Everything weather wise is back to normal now has promised by the weather forcast they said a wind would blow it away by Friday, and it did too.Lovely blue skies now.Gardening commence at last x

Home sweet home x

I have had two cozy, well appreciated two days off this week.I have balanced out housework and crafting. I can not work in mess, and once things are all tidied, theres no guilt spending hours of my time crafting.
This week I have been revisiting old projects that need finishing.I do not know why we start a project with great enthusiasm and then simply get bored later...So this week is been all about completion. Now im back on these projects, boy am I enjoying my self.

My yarn stash of odds and ends is slowly disappearing into a new blanket / throw I
know exactly where its going to once its finished, in my craft corner. I am in the process of  creating a new craft area for my self, and yes when im all moved in you will all be the first to see it in all its glory ha ha !When it comes to creative spaces I love to see how other crafters organise there spaces.
I have some beautiful yarn that I brought a few months back.I splashed out on  some real wool yarns and what to have a go at some felting. What projects are keeping you all occupied this week?
I will be planning projects in the garden, with spring approaching the garden is coming back to life. This box of bulbs waits for no man. They are sprouting as we speak in the container so need to be planted ASAP.
This will be my container of choice a bucket! With a few drill holes and all those colourful
bulbs its going to look delicious.Im loving this hot pink colour at the moment.
Hope you all have a great weekend xxx

Revamp

Hello and how are you all? hope you are having a good week, I have managed to fix my computer problems.

I  have found trying to fix the problem so frustrating. I thought I could fix it my self  then humbly had to ask my daughter to fix the problem for me.This generation of children know computers like the back of their hands dont they!

Last post i showed you a blanket i wanted to revamp. I found a really easy crochet edging from pintetest and so far so good. I have also been doing some sewing, making a cover for my two seater.
This green chair which I love used to reside in the spare room. AKA the busy room as I call it. Everyone uses  the spare room for their hobbies.

We so desperately needed more seating In the living room unfortunately we did not want to then buy a second chair to match our black and gold decor in our living room. The obvious answer to our problem was to make a cover for the chair.

My fabric came from ikea, very reasonably priced too. Im no way a natural when it comes to sewing and so it was not plain sailing a lot of the time. I added some trim and some buttons hubbys bit of imput,  bless him for taking a interest. Glad it is all finished and the colour schemes all matching. Needs a good iron then im really done.
Hope you all had a lovely Valentine's weekend, hugs to you all x
